Why Are Songs Not Showing in HiBy Music on My MP3 Player?

If songs have been copied to your MP3 player but do not appear in HiBy Music, the issue is usually caused by:

  • Music library not refreshed (no scan performed)
  • Unsupported audio formats
  • Corrupted or incomplete files
  • Scan folder not included in settings

👉 In most cases, manually scanning the music library will fix the issue.

🔍 1. Check if Files Were Transferred Correctly

Open File Manager and check your music folder:

  • If files are missing or size is 0 → re-transfer the files
  • If files exist normally → proceed to next step

📌 Recommended transfer methods:
USB cable / Send Anywhere / microSD card

🔄 2. Rescan Music Library (Most Important Step)

HiBy Music does not automatically detect new files.

Follow these steps:

HiBy Music → Menu (≡ / 👤)
→ Music Scan
→ Scan All

It usually takes 1–2 minutes for about 1000 songs

👉 After scanning, return to your music library

🎧 3. Check Audio Format Compatibility

Supported formats:

MP3 / WAV / FLAC / APE / AAC / WMA / OGG

Unsupported formats:

ALAC / DSF / DFF / OPUS

📌 Solution:
Convert files before transferring:

  • Windows: Foobar2000
  • Mac: XLD (X Lossless Decoder)

🛠 4. Check for Corrupted Files

Play the files on your computer:

  • If it cannot play → file is corrupted, re-download it
  • If it plays normally → continue to next step

📁 5. Check Scan Folder Settings

HiBy Music uses custom scan directories.

Go to:
HiBy Music → Settings → Music Scan → Scan Folders

Make sure:

Music folder is selected
Internal storage / SD card path is included
Folder is not in Ignore list

💾 6. SD Card Users (Important)

📌 Portable Storage

Typical path:
/ Music or / Download

👉 Ensure this folder is included in scan settings

📌 Internal Storage Mode

Typical path:
/storage/emulated/0/

👉 Ensure system scan includes this directory
