Can I resume video playback after my MP3 player shuts down?

Yes.The pre-installed MX Player on your Globluum MP3 player supports resume playback (last position memory). When the device shuts down due to low battery or is restarted, reopening the same video file will usually show:

👉 “Resume from last position?”

Tap “OK” to continue watching.

📖 How It Works

MX Player automatically saves playback progress when:

  • The device shuts down due to low battery
  • The device is manually turned off
  • The system is restarted normally

As long as the video file is not:

  • Deleted
  • Renamed
  • Moved to another folder

The playback position will remain available.

⚠️ Important Notes

  • 📁 Playback progress is tied to the file path
Moving or renaming the file will reset progress.
  • 🔋 Extremely low battery may prevent saving progress
Sudden power loss at 0% battery may result in lost playback position.
  • Avoid watching videos on very low battery.

🛠️ Troubleshooting – No Resume Prompt

1️MX Player data cleared

Path:
Settings → Apps → MX Player → Clear data

⚠️ This will erase playback history and progress

2️Playback history modified

Deleting history does not affect file progress, but may remove prompt behavior.

3️Video file issues

  • Corrupted file
  • Unsupported encoding (some MKV / FLV cases)
  • Low storage space

Try testing with a standard MP4 file.

4️Resume setting disabled

MX Player settings:

Settings → Playback → Resume Prompt

Options:

  • Always Ask (recommended)
  • Auto Resume
  • Play from Start

⚙️ Advanced Options

  • 📌 Auto Resume: instantly continue playback
  • 📌 Always Ask: recommended for most users
  • 📌 Play from Start: disables resume function
